By default, clicking the New Tab icon (or pressing Ctrl-T) in Internet
Explorer 10 opens your homepage. Some users prefer a new tab page with thumbnails for their "most frequent visited sites", which is the default behaviour for previous version of Internet Explore 8 and downwards.
However, this setting got changed on IE9 to IE10 versions. Here, how to set the new tab page back to those "most frequent visited site" thumbnails as you prefered;
1. Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools icon (or press Alt-X), and then click Internet Options.
2. In the
General tab, find the
Tabs section, then click the
Tabs button within that section.
3. Midway down that
Tabbed Browsing Settings dialog, there is an option called “
When a new tab is opened, open:”, and click the
Pull-down menu below it then choose
The new tab page.
4. Click
OK at the bottom of the
Tabbed Browsing Settings dialog and at the
Internet Options dialog.
You are DONE! Internet Explorer should open new tabs with those “most frequent visited site” thumbnails.
